Asset Analytics
Review live and submitted asset-level performance metrics.
Introduction
The Asset Analytics tab allows participants and investors to engage meaningfully with asset-level data beyond the portfolio results available in the Benchmark Report.
Asset Analytics provides detailed, asset-level metrics related to energy consumption, greenhouse gas emissions, water consumption, and waste performance. Within Asset Analytics, users can view key metrics such as like-for-like percentage changes and intensity measurements.
Content on this page differs slightly for GRESB Participant Members and Investor Members.

How to Use Asset Analytics
[New in 2026] Asset Analytics contains two views: Live Data and Submitted Data.
Live Data: Reflects current Asset Portal data (i.e., latest updates to the Data Management page).
Submitted Data: Reflects Asset Portal data captured at the time of submission (up to the past three assessment years).
What data is available?
Both views (live and submitted data) include the following information per asset:
Asset ID and name
Property type, size, and country
Absolute consumption/emissions during the reporting year
Data coverage (floor area) for which consumption/emissions data is available
Consumption/emissions intensity per unit of floor area (m2 or sq.ft.)
Note: GRESB only calculates and displays intensity values for assets that meet the following criteria:
Classified as Standing Investments
Data availability for the full year (>= 355 days)
Vacancy rate below 20%
Data coverage of 75% or more (GRESB linearly extrapolates coverage missing beyond this threshold based on actual data of other participants.)
Like-for-like consumption/emissions change
[Energy only] ASHRAE climate zone and energy use intensity threshold, when available
[Waste only] Percentage of waste diverted from landfill/incineration
Note: Live Asset Analytics does not include assets with errors. Users must resolve errors to view live asset analytics.
Users also have the option to download this data in CSV format for offline analysis and further investigation.
Data Sharing Instructions
Users & Access Rights
Listed and non-listed participants can access the Asset Analytics from any of their respective entities at the top left corner of the Asset Portal.
Investor Members can only access the asset-level data of non-listed entities if access to their Benchmark Reports is granted and the entity actively chooses to share their asset-level data. GRESB does not share asset-level data from listed entities due to legal reasons.
Response Settings
Click on 'More', and then select 'Response Settings.'
Sharing asset-level data must be enabled each year. In other words, enabling it for one year does not guarantee it will be accessible the next. To share data from previous reporting years, managers should change the year in the top left-hand corner.
Select 'Yes' to Sharing
Select 'Yes' under 'Share asset data with investors (for non-listed entities only)' and then click 'Update settings' at the bottom of the page to save the preference.
Once these settings are updated, Investor Members will be able to access the entity’s submitted Asset Analytics data.
Investors can only access submitted asset-level data. Live data is not available to GRESB investor members.
Guidance for Investor Members
Users & Access Rights
Unlike Benchmark Report access requests, Investor Members cannot directly request access to asset-level data. The entity must choose to share it. To guide your managers in sharing their asset-level data, please provide them with the instructions above. Note that GRESB does not share asset-level data from listed entities due to legal reasons. Only non-listed entities can share asset-level data.
Investors can access Asset Analytics of a respective entity that has enabled access under their ‘Accessible Reports’ tab.
Unlike report access requests, Investor Members cannot directly request access to asset-level data. The entity must actively share it. To guide your managers in sharing their asset-level data, please provide them with the instructions above.
What data is available?
Investor Members are able to view the data across four different performance aspects:
Energy | GHG Emissions | Water | Waste
Each aspect has the following:
Asset ID
Asset name
Property type
Size (sq. ft./m2)
Country
Energy
Consumption (kWh): Absolute consumption during the reporting year
Data coverage (% floor area): Percentage of floor area for which consumption data is available
Intensity (kWh / sq. ft. or m2): Consumption per unit floor area
Like-For-Like Consumption change (%): Percentage change in consumption from last year to current year
GHG Emissions
Consumption (ton): Absolute emissions during the reporting year
Data coverage (% floor area): Percentage of floor area for which emissions data is available
Intensity (kg/sq. ft. or m2): Emissions per unit floor area
Like-For-Like Consumption change (%): Percentage change in emissions from last year to current year
Water
Consumption (kWh): Absolute consumption during the reporting year
Data coverage (% floor area): Percentage of floor area for which consumption data is available
Intensity (litre / sq. ft. or m2): Consumption per unit floor area
Like-For-Like Consumption change (%): Percentage change in consumption from last year to current year
Waste
Consumption (ton): Absolute total waste during the reporting year
Data coverage (% floor area): Percentage of floor area for which waste data is available
Intensity (kWh / sq. ft. or m2): Total waste per unit floor area
Diverted from landfill/incineration (%): Percentage of waste diverted from landfill/incineration
Downloading an entity's Asset Analytics in .csv will also include the following data points:
Asset status (standing investment, major renovation, or new construction)
Location
Vacancy rate
Whether outliers exist and if so, what type of outliers (refer to this page for more information)
