Terminology
Affordable housing

Underserved communities
Communities that are disadvantaged based on characteristics including race, ethnicity, geography and health accessibility.
Refurbishment
Renovation or redecoration works undertaken by a landlord or tenant.
Improved wellbeing of tenants
Measures or initiatives intended to enhance tenants’ health, comfort, safety, and overall quality of life.
Development of community amenities
Assets or projects that create or enhance shared local facilities and services that support community needs and daily life.
Nonprofit community housing
Housing assets or projects owned, developed, or operated by nonprofit entities with a primary social mission, typically prioritizing long term affordability or community benefit.
'Property-backed' social businesses
Financing of an asset or asset pool that is intended for businesses with social impacts, like health-centres, collaborative office spaces, etc.
