This indicator intends to identify whether the entity has allocated human resources to sustainability. Having personnel dedicated to sustainability issues increases the likelihood that the property company or REIT will successfully manage and achieve its sustainability objectives.

<summary><strong>Input</strong>: How do I complete this indicator?</summary>

Select yes or no. If yes, disclose where the online information can be found.

Points will be awarded if the disclosure(s) contains evidence of:

* The existence of a sustainability committee; OR
* A dedicated employee responsible for sustainability

Points will not be awarded if sustainability is simply *part of/among* the employee’s responsibilities.

Best practice disclosures include the name of a committee/task force responsible for sustainability, demonstrating how it fits in with the rest of the board and committees regarding role and policy-making abilities.

### Terminology

**Dedicated sustainability task force**

> A formally established group of individuals who meet to discuss and monitor the implementation of the organization’s  objectives.

**Dedicated team member**

> An employee whose main responsibility is defining, implementing and monitoring the  objectives at organization and/or entity level.

**Disclosure**

> The act of making information or data readily accessible and available to all interested individuals and institutions. Disclosure does not need to be public, but must be external to the reporting entity and cannot be an internal and/or ad hoc communication within the participating entity.  &#x20;

**Responsible for**

> A person or group of people who work on the implementation and completion of the task, project or strategy.
